Girl from Ghana trying to find herself one reblogg
If by some magic or miracle A fraction of the tears I shed last year Were to transform into a black pearl By their sheer size and number They’d tickle the belly of the vast ocean Across continents far and near Blessed with glistening skin and spark My black pearls would rival the stars With Bright light shining through the dark They’d challenge the Milky Way and Mars With Eros alone they’d make their mark Not by wielding power nor waging wars If I could make meaning of my suffering Perhaps I could make peace with my fate Without constant kicking and struggling Like fish out of water hooked to a bate Destined to perish without nourishment Cast aside and scorned in sheer abandonment If I could mend every crack in my heart Deep scars from a fateful unrequited love By stringing together a pearl necklace With natural beauty to offer mother earth As symbol of the treasure hard to attain Resulting from all my anguish and pain If I could just let go of past fantasies Walk away from sorrowful memories Feeling stronger for who I am today Despite the lamentable long lonely Way Perhaps I could meet the despised feminine Waiting to be held with loving compassion Perhaps Sophia would take me into her embrace Bring home my soul from exile and forgetfulness Allow me to experience warmth and nurturance Rid me from this empty feeling of nothingness Let the black pearl guide me back to the Source Release me from tears of regret or remorse From the treasure chest of the Black pearl Goddess To Sophia’s generous soul-food banquet Love will be my nourishment instead of fear Beauty will be my friend, hope my safety net With all the blessings Sophia could spare I’d even have abundance left to share To those suffering from grief and loss Traversing through the dark night of the soul A brilliant black pearl I’ll gently toss As the prize gleaming at the end of the tunnel Let this be your symbol of infinite Love For love is the glue that unites the universe… © Ramona Shashaani
